Huia Rd

Huia Rd is a renovation of a 1950s Titirangi home, reimagined with a mid-century Japanese influence and nods to local history. Inspired by architect Ron Sang, Sam introduced Pioneer Red joinery, oak flooring, and Taj Mahal granite to create a calm, natural palette that complements the surrounding bush.

The redesigned kitchen layout improves flow and storage, with a new door leading to herb planters just outside. Subtle details, like custom display cabinetry and a hidden powder room entrance, add warmth and surprise, while timber cladding brought inside blurs the line between interior and nature, giving the space an intimate, moody feel.
