Samantha (Sam) Elliot from ‘Studio Elliot’ has been fabulous to work with on our extensive villa renovation. She is an absolute gem and someone we would love to work with again. Sam is a highly experienced design practitioner, with extensive knowledge, connections and ideas to really bring out the best in any space. We found her personable, knowledgeable, thorough, detail focused and thoughtful. Sam listens to what you are thinking or want, layering in ideas to create spaces that are practical, inviting and look fabulous! Our villa is now modern yet timeless, and functional yet refined. Our home feels calm and considered to live in ...we LOVE it! Sam was also well regarded by the rest of our build team and a true asset to the project. We feel lucky to have been recommended Sam, she definitely stands out from the crowd in the best way!
Sam has been absolutely fantastic to work with. She is not only creative and great at what she does, but has been really patient and has listened to what we want and need. Sam has come up with a design that is both stylish and practical and is in keeping with the era of our beautiful old home.
When we embarked on renovating our living room (kitchen, dining, lounge) and laundry we realised from the outset that the project would be much easier with a designer to guide us as we needed someone with the experience and expertise that we lacked. We found Green Room Studio by researching online and were impressed with Sam’s reviews and projects she had undertaken previously. For a flat fee she designed the two spaces, produced renders and plans, and recommended what products, materials, colours and suppliers we should use and was always available to answer any questions we had and guide our final decisions. She gave us enough options to choose so we didn’t get overwhelmed and a shortlist of suppliers to visit for things like lighting, flooring, benchtops etc. She worked extremely well with our builder (who as it turns out had worked with her in the past) and was very patient with us as first-time renovators. If you are planning to renovate then we would highly recommend Sam as she made the whole process easier and we ended up with a design that really works and adds value to our home.
Sam has been a fantastic help right the way through our new build. She helped design the home and did 3D walk-throughs, bath room layouts, selecting tiles, tap ware, and light fittings. Sam's knowledge of products and pricing has been a tremendous help. We would throughly recommend Sam.
Sam designed and specified renovation of our kitchen, dining, bathroom and laundry spaces. Our kitchen is a particularly tricky space to work with. Sam created great thoughtful solutions to the challenges and we’re delighted with the results. Throughout the design process any questions or concerns we had were dealt with promptly and we loved seeing updated renders of the final design so we knew exactly what we were getting.
It was well worth engaging design service as we would still be trying to make decisions! The overall fees were a small fraction of the overall budget and were money well spent.
